Retail Sales Associate: Part-Time

OVERVIEW

Job Type: Part-Time
Hours: 20 hours per week
Compensation: $18–21/hr
Supplemental Pay: Commission Pay

Company C is a unique, high-end home furnishings brand that designs and creates exclusive home furnishings for residential and commercial interiors. Our company is known for its colorful design aesthetic. The Design Sales Associate role requires right and left brain thinking—from organizing to creative concepting. This person must be self-motivated at building rapport with clients, while providing colorful design solutions for their home, hospitality, or client projects. Candidates should have a sophisticated eye for color, design, and luxury home furnishings.

Concord Retail Store Manager

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in all facets of the day-to-day operations of the store including meeting sales objectives, merchandising floor plans and displays, inventory management and truck shipments, and making sure the showroom is organized and clean.
  • Strong leadership skills. Demonstrates self-confidence without “ego.”
  • Create exceptional experiences for all customers that enter our showroom.  
  • Engage customers in the design services we offer. Create room concepts—select products, coordinate fabrics and design overall projects that meet their needs and design style.
  • Be proficient in product knowledge, with ability to explain features and benefits of entire store assortment for consumers, interior designers and hospitality customers.
  • Place special orders, including all details related to ordering pieces. Monitor all aspects of design projects and keep customers informed of their order status and any delays.
  • Network to create a list of clients for design services, new product introductions, or other showroom related news. Keep and monitor client contacts.
  • Have a positive attitude, and team oriented outlook. Ability to solve elevated issues in a timely manner.
  • Efficiently and accurately perform register transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate will have practical interior design experience and/or some interior design education. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in retail sales in home furnishings or a décor environment is preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills a must
  • Project management experience a must
  • Aptitude for color and design best practices.
  • Proficient POS, ERP and other computer skills
  • Diligent work ethic and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted, flip rug piles, and move freely around the sales floor.
  • Weekends required, with some evenings and holidays.

ABILITY TO COMMUTE/RELOCATE:

  • Concord, NH: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Retail Stock Associate: Part-Time

OVERVIEW

Job Type: Part-Time
Status/Hours: 7–16 hours per week as needed
Compensation: Hourly

Company C is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Stock Associate to become a part of our team. They will be supporting the Store Retail team, in the achievement of the store's goals, by providing organization of shipping and receiving, inventory control, back-of-house maintenance and related housekeeping activities.
 
Under general supervision, the Retail Stock Associate performs physical labor to place retail stock and supplies in their proper place to create a great "customer experience" environment.
 
This position is every Saturday, Holiday weekends, and possibly another shift during the week
 
Duties can include flipping and straightening rug piles, loading rugs and furniture in customers cars, hanging rugs on racks, checking merchandise to purchase order/invoice, stocking merchandise and putting merchandise away from customer use. They will perform other duties as assigned.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Heavy Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted and safely
  • Check in merchandise from truck deliveries per company policy
  • Ensure that merchandise shipments have been received
  • Ensure that "put-away" merchandise is taken care of properly

MINIMUM TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays
  • High School/College hours available
  • Ability to perform frequent repetitive movement—carrying items, bending, stretching, reaching, lifting
